People always say that Tennis is one of the most difficult sports in the world, even comparing to Golf. Well, I can’t agree more with them. Tennis is a sport that requests highly Hand-Eye Coordination, solid training and strong mentality. It’s not easy to pick up this sport, and that’s why it is so charming. However, you can always enjoy tennis through the proper guidance and leading by a right coach.
I am Shawn. I have been playing tennis since I was 10 and I love it with my heart. I was trained to play intercounty and intercollegiate by school team back in Taiwan. And the best part of me being a coach, is that I was never a genius player. There’s an old saying “Long illness makes the patient a good doctor” and I believed I am that patient with no doubt. I suffered all kinds of difficulties that like everyone will have while playing tennis. Therefore, I understand how beginners feel and how to help them move forward.
Come to join us! Armadale is a very “beginner friendly” club, which is extremely important to people who wants to play good tennis. All our coaches were fully trained and sophisticated in matches. In a word, we know how to help you pick up this fascinating sport but also have fun while learning.

I am currently a fully instructor certificate coach from TPA. I have been involved in coaching tennis in Canada for 3 years, and 2 years in Vietnam as an assistant teacher in university.
My tennis career started over 15 years ago in Vietnam with my father who is a professional tennis coach. Being able to learn tennis from my father since I was a child, I have a privilege to understand most of obstacles and challenges that people have to face when they are first introduced to the game.
My love for tennis and teaching can be seen every time I step on court or whenever I have a chance to discuss anything about tennis. I am passionate about the development of children or adult in their tennis and willing to bring up the level of their games.
Shajitha is a long time member of the Armadale Tennis Club and previous participant of the junior program.
